We are not The Cathedral Of St John the Divine in New York. We are the same denomination but a little bit smaller and in Wisconsin!
Services are on Sundays at 9 am, in person or live online!
We could be a good fit if you want a traditional worship style, not a stage show.
We welcome the greater Burlington Community with a traditional style of service that is warm and inviting.
St. John the Divine Episcopal Church is a small, liturgical church affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, the Episcopal Church USA, and the Anglican Church Community.
Our worship style is reminiscent of a Catholic Mass with a Lutheran twist.
We believe that our church is more than just a building; it is all of us, the people. As a congregation, we are committed to reaching out to others and demonstrating Christ’s love to our community and the world.

Our worship style
At our place of worship, we embrace a more traditional style, complete with bells, candles, processions, and more. We ensure that our services are welcoming for visitors and current members. We focus on contemplation; you won’t find a “stage show service” here.
Our services are the Book of Common Prayer; seasonally, we alternate between Rites 1 and 2.
When you join us, feel free to participate or observe at your comfort level.
We invite you to attend one of our services in person, watch our videos, join us live on YouTube, or listen to our service podcast to see if our style suits you!
The congregation of St John the Divine
Our congregation is a diverse blend of people of different ages, races, abilities, political affiliations, and sexual orientations. We aim to spread the love of Christ as a unified congregation.
In addition to worship, we enjoy collaborating both within and outside the church walls to give back to the community that supports us, including hosting artists and support groups.
We also cherish spending time together, whether sharing a meal or having fun. We’d love for you to join us!
Music at St John the Divine
The music at St. John the Divine is traditional but has a twist. We primarily use the Episcopal 1982 Hymnal for most of our music, but we also incorporate other sources if they add to the experience.
We encourage everyone to join in singing, as our collective voices sound better together.
Our organ supports our singing and other musical elements of our service.
We have even used it to accompany a silent film!
